Last Thursday Arlinda Norris head designer, R.Lynda, took us on a fabulous fashion flight. The scene was set at the Indiana State Museum for the unveiling of R.Lynda's first collection. This new line from R.Lynda was nothing short of spectacular with clean lines, ruffles and romantic fabrics.
R.Lynda is about combining the best elements of couture: bold, sexy, feminine and romantic. This is the perfect way to describe the collection. If this was Arlinda's goal she just won the Super Bowl of fashion! Lets take a look at the elements one by one -
BOLD~ Dramatic backs & plunging necklines
SEXY~ Sexy mini dresses & shorts, shoulder baring pieces & the color black
FEMININE~ Soft colors and plush fabrics
ROMANTIC~ Ruffles everywhere including pockets and necklines
The evening was star studded as well, with local celebrities Alex Paredes and Peter Monn aka The Boys of Raannt, Miss Indiana Gabrielle Reed and Host Amy Beers of Nightlights TV all in attendance. Several spotlight Midwest Fashion Week designers were also present including Nikki Blaine of Nikki Blaine Couture (who I must meet soon, I hear she is fabulous)! Up and coming designers attended, including shoe designer Jamie Dampier of Eimaj Designs who styled the shoes for the event! I also had a chance talk to local stylist and great friend of the Fashion Wrap Up Team, Zoe Renee Huse, who wears many hats including the fun and flirty magenta net hat she wore to the event, and President of Aesthetic Design Style Julia Rutland.
Here are a few pictures from the event ~
White dress with a soft feminine neckline with romantic ruffles and a dramatic back ~ SURPRISE~
Crystal, Arlinda ~ the Woman of the Hour ~ and Myself ~ LOVING Arlinda's necklace~I spy Statements Jewels
Crystal wore a sexy little black dress and I chose black pants with a cream colored top with ruffles (we wanted to show Arlinda that we were bold, and sexy too)
L to R: Myself, Michelle Brantley R.Lynda's PR Director looking gorgeous in her one shoulder platinum dress with a black belted waist and Crystal having fun after the event!
L to R: Fashion Wrap Up Team Myself, Crystal and Heather, looking gorgeous in her black dress with lace overlay, and you cannot see them but her "tasteful nudes" on the Runway. The Runway this night was the Overlook of the canal from the Indiana State Museum, a truly gorgeous place for the wonderful fashion event!
